Tuning In To Music

Since 2006, Tuning In To Music provides free instrumental music lessons to under-resourced students and opens access to a vast array of music ensembles offered in the public schools. The music ensembles now represent a more diverse student body. Students are performing in the GHS Candlelight Concert, Western Regionals and a few have even participated in the Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. Research shows music education improves self esteem and confidence, improves academic performance and creates a strong sense of community with peers.
